AEM and Silver Fox Integrate Testing, Label-Making Capabilities
Test-equipment provider AEM has teamed up with label-maker Silver Fox so that users of the two companies’ equipment can import data from AEM’s testers into Silver Fox’s Labacus Innovator software platforms to quicken the process of creating labels for installed cabling systems. Specifically, users can import the same label .csv file used for AEM’s TestPro CV100 and Network Service Assistant (NSA) directly into Silver Fox’s Labacus Innovator Advanced and Professional systems.
“This integration helps engineers go from test to label with speed and precision,” Silver Fox said when announcing the collaboration. “By coordinating your certification tools with your labeling software, you can reduce errors, save time, and ensure total consistency across every project.”
The company further explained how the integration works step-by-step.
- Create label CSV and save to USB: User creates a CSV file with desired labels. With AEM’s TestDataPro software, save the file to a USB drive in CSV format. Import the CSV file into the AEM tester using the USB.
- Import into Labacus Innovator: User opens Labacus Innovator Advanced or Professional and uses the “AEM CSV Import” button to bring the label data into the software.
- Create the labels: User selects the label type needed. The imported data is then available for use in label design.
- Print and apply: The Fox-in-a-Box system prints the labels and the user applies them on-site.
Silver Fox additionally pointed out the integration and ability to import label data yields several benefits, including streamlined workflow, greater accuracy, and offline functionality.
“This partnership is a game-changer for engineers, technicians, and project managers,” said Steve Cowles, RCDD/NTS, product line manager at AEM. “By synchronizing the test data with labeling software, users can reduce errors, save time, and ensure complete consistency across every project.”
