Fiber-optic crimp connectors
null
The 2Quick fiber-optic, crimp SC- and ST-style connectors are non-adhesive devices that assemble onto the fiber in roughly two minutes, according to company claims. These fiber connectors meet or exceed all of the pending Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling (TIA/ EIA-568)-B.3 standard requirements. In addition, the company says the connectors exceed the more stringent pulling requirements established by TIA/EIA-568-B.3.

Invoice management system
null
An accounts payable invoice-approval process for Dexter & Chaney's construction management software lets contractors route invoices electronically. After an invoice is entered into the management software, it can be routed to a sequence of reviewers, each of whom is notified automatically by e-mail. Each reviewer can add remarks and make changes to the coding on screen; the final reviewer is authorized to confirm the invoice for payment. The approval system may also route subcontract billing entries, recurring invoice entries, and provide payroll updates.

Power distribution system
null
The TPC 2562 Series of alternating current (AC) power distribution combines true redundant input, under-voltage protection, and improved switching time between sources, according to the company. Designed for use in critical systems, the series accepts two AC power inputs (120 V or 240 V) and protects against a power failure or severe brownout condition. This series monitors the input voltage and automatically switches to the secondary power source when the primary source fails, and back again to the primary source when it is back online. A high-speed transfer rate helps the transfer to be transparent to sensitive electronic equipment. According to company claims, testing has repetitively produced 18 ms ±5 ms source-to-source transfer time. Power input is available via two International Electrotechnical Commission 60320, C20 power inlets located on the rear (power cables are available separately), and is protected with inline fuses and surge suppression. Both power inlets have integrated EMI/RFI protection, isolating noise before it enters the system.

Test clips
null
The Model 6405 insulation piercing test clip set is designed for a variety of field applications, including telecommunications diagnosis and repair. Featuring a spring-loaded clamp and screw-in barrel, the piercing clips let you provide the pressure needed to pierce the insulation of a range of wire types and sizes. These clips also feature a rotating banana jack that prevents the test lead from twisting and keeps the meter in the circuit while the wire is pierced, providing immediate confirmation that contact with the conductor has been made. A safety-rated shrouded banana jack is compatible with industry-standard banana plugs, including digital multimeter plugs with or without safety shrouds. A retractable pin and a wire-centering mechanism cradle the wire as the clips may attach onto plastic-, Teflon-, or silicone-insulated wires using a spring-loaded double-V clamp. The clip is small enough to access individual wires in large bundles and durable in severe service.
