So, you get to the jobsite and are faced with a rat’s nest of a situation. What to do? You can click on your iPod, call up a Training Reels video, scroll through the on-screen menu, find your scenario, learn how to unravel the nest, and get back to work. Or, the company suggests, you can simply use your iPod tutor to brush up on installation skills while traveling or at your leisure.

“But can you actually see anything worthwhile on the small screen?” asks Training Reels in a recent newsletter. “We wondered the same thing, so we tested it in the field, and yes, you can see the details amazingly well. The iPod screen is very sharp and clear, and we had no problem seeing anything.”

Courses available for download are:

• Residential Networks: System Design & Installation;
• Residential Retrofit Installation;
• Broadband RF System Design & Installation;
• Residential Installation Basics.
