Dual-speed media converter

The McBasic 10/100 series of copper-to-fiber media converters supports 10- and 100-megabit-per-second full- and half-duplex Ethernet local-area and wide-area networks. The converters allow managers to connect both 10- and 100-Mbit/sec Ethernet, copper-based hubs, switches, and routers with fiber-based cabling infrastructures. The devices are slightly larger than a deck of cards and are suitable for small companies and remote campuses requiring minimal fiber connectivity. They contain a 100/240-volt AC internal power supply and support the TIA-proposed 100Base-SX 10/100 autonegotiation function.
