Remee Products Corp. (Florida, NY) now offers two certification programs--one for cabling professionals and another for cabling installers. Remee says that the program for installers, under which qualified contractors earn from Remee the Certified lan Cabling Professional (CLC Pro) designation, is designed to build contractors` business.

Remee provides training and certification on proper installation techniques and practices for high-performance network cabling. CLC Pros also receive qualified leads, generated through Remee`s telemarketing efforts, and other marketing tools that include end-user presentations and media support and exposure.

In return, Remee expects CLC Pros to fulfill confidentiality, program- implementation, and reporting and administrative requirements. Remee also expects minimum volume commitments from CLC Pros.

Installers who are interested in the program can meet with the company to discuss details and determine whether further interest is mutual. If selected, an installer forms an agreement-in-principle with the company. Then, the two sides establish minimum commitment levels based on contractor size and scope of operations. Next, both parties sign a letter of agreement and assign a single point of contact to coordinate and administer the program. Throughout the implementation of the program, Remee conducts quality audits, training, and reviews. Remee also provides a literature package and documentation of installations performed by the CLC Pro.

In addition to providing the CLC Pro certification program, Remee offers the CLC Pro Installation Program, a system warranty program that the company says guarantees a high-performance cabling system that will meet today`s and tomorrow`s demands.

Highlights of the installation program include a 15-year system warranty that guarantees system performance as defined by telecommunications systems bulletin TSB-67. The warranty covers components and labor and allows the end-user freedom of choice in hardware selection. It is standards-based and application-independent and provides one point of contact for problems.

One of the installation requirements necessary for the installation program is that both the network`s design and installation must be in compliance with the TIA/EIA-568A commercial building telecommunications wiring standard, the EIA/TIA-569 commercial building standard for telecommunications pathways and spaces, and the TIA/EIA-606 administration standard for the telecommunications infrastructure of commercial buildings.

Also, the network must be tested as required by TSB-67; Remee must review complete documentation supplied by the CLC Pro; the installer must use Remee cable and approved components; the design, installation, and testing must be approved by a trained cabling professional; and the installer must test, document, and submit to Remee all moves, adds, and changes.

For more information on the CLC Pro and CLC Pro Installation programs, call Remee Products Corp. at (800) 431-3864 or visit the company`s Web site at www.remee.com.
