Fiber-optic termination kit

The Molex Xpress Termination Kit from Molex Fiber Optics eliminates the need for curing ovens during field termination of fiber-optic cables. The kit includes 12 connectors, rubber strain-relief boots for 3-millimeter and 900-micron cable, one tube of adhesive, accelerant, a stripping template, and termination instructions.

Installers apply the adhesive directly to the fiber, without measuring, mixing, or using an applicator. When both the adhesive and accelerant are applied to the fiber, they instantly produce a bond between the fiber and the ceramic ferrule.

Each kit costs $54; volume discounts are available for purchases of more than 10 kits. Termination tool kits, containing the tools needed for both 3-mm and 900-micron terminations, are available separately from Molex.
