He has more than 20 years of experience in product development and management. Before joining ttc, Maverick served as general manager/chief operating officer of Sodalia S.p.A. in Italy, a joint venture between Bell Atlantic and Telecom Italia.
George Maier has launched his own company, Orion Broadcast Solutions (Sudbury, MA). Orion will work with clients on solving technical and marketing problems in the fiber, microwave, radio-frequency, and switching areas. Most recently, Maier was vice president of business development at Artel Video Systems. Former employers include Telco Systems, adc Video Systems, Nortel, Harris Broadcast Products, m/a-com (now California Microwaves` Microwave Radio Communications Div.), and at&t Technologies.
Charles Conner has been appointed director of national accounts for the North American sales group by Harmonic Lightwaves Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA), a supplier of fiber-optic cable-management equipment. He has 25 years of sales and sales management experience in the cable-TV industry. Previously, Conner was director of sales for NextLevel Systems and manager of national accounts for Philips Broadband Networks Div.
Paul K. Carroll has been named vice president of marketing for the communications sector of Harris Corp. (Melbourne, FL), a communications and electronics company. Carroll served as vice president of marketing for Siemens Telecom Networks, where he planned the company`s advertising strategy. He joined Siemens in 1975 and was formerly director of market planning and analysis, and product line manager of switching systems.
