MW9070A mini-optical time domain reflectometers have been enhanced by a visual light source, multimode module and floppy-disk drive. When connected to the source fiber, the visual light source`s red light can identify a specific fiber in a cable bundle at the other end of the fiber. A free firmware upgrade (to version 3.1) is available. It comprises 10 new features, including a new splice loss threshold, batch printing and an "out of range" message.
