Aug. 17, 2005 - Playa Vista specified Superior Modular Products' offerings in its structured wiring guidelines.

The Master Planned Community of Playa Vista, on the west side of Los Angeles, has approved the Home Axcess Residential Enclosures and connectivity from Superior Modular Products (www.superiormod.com) under the community's structured wiring guidelines, the manufacturer recently announced.

The enclosure product line offers a structured wiring solution in three different sizes to help add value to the home while taking advantages of the latest in electronic technology, Superior Modular Products said when announcing the award. It provides a means of networking, customizing, and distributing all of the electronic services in a home, including voice, data, video, audio, and security, from a central location. All three sizes of the enclosure are made from steel, offer 16-inch stud-wall construction, and are offered in an expandable format.

"We are pleased to be approved for installation at Playa Vista," said John Awad, western regional manager from Superior Modular.

Playa Vista is the first new community to be established in Los Angeles's west side in more than 50 years, Superior Modular stated in its announcement. Planned to accommodate as many as 15,000 residents, the community's homes include studios, lofts, apartments, condominiums, and single-family homes.
