Jan. 18, 2005 - Products are part of the FiberOpticx product line.

Superior Modular Products plans to showcase two new optical fiber cabinets, part of its FiberOpticx product line, at the BICSI Winter conference.

"The products scheduled to be showcased at BICSI come from feedback form our customers, taking their suggestions and making those suggestions a reality," says Andy Piatek, product manager for the FiberOpticx product line. "The FiberOpticx product line has always been about putting our customer first and I believe the improvements we've made to our existing products and in our development of new products will illustrate our commitment to the customer."

Two new 1U 19-inch Rack Mount Fiber Optic cabinets will be showcased from Superior Modular Products' (Swananoa, NC; www.superiormod.com) FiberOpticx product line. The cabinets are the RTR12B and the RTH12B. Both cabinets feature a sturdy 16-gauge steel construction, 24-port high-density patch and splice capabilities with left and right rear cable entry. For applications that require rear access, the RTH cabinet offers a hinged feature with the same patch and splice features as the RTR cabinet.

Along with these two new cabinets, the company will introduce a sliding rack mount cabinet, the RTS24B, which features a front and rear-sliding tray. The company will also showcase improvements to the RTC and WTC boxes. These improvements include times that provide for easier access, better construction techniques and more security. Lastly, the company will introduce the FibreGuard product line which features accommodation for fusion splicing, the versatility of being used in several applications and availability in three sizes.

All of these items will be available at Superior Modular Products' booth No. 728 at BICSI. They will also be showcased in the new catalog scheduled to be released this month.

Superior Modular Products manufactures optical fiber and copper connectivity hardware. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Preformed Line Products of Cleveland, OH.
