SYSTIMAX Solutions recently announced the installation of its SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED X10D UTP cabling solution for Calamos Asset Management Investment Company of Naperville, IL.
The network, designed and installed by Advanced Data Technologies, a Prestige SYSTIMAX BusinessPartner, features the SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED X10D cabling solution which will provide connectivity for the company's data center as well as offer 10-Gbit network connections to servers and desktops throughout the new building designed to serve as the company's new global headquarters. The SYSTIMAX LazrSPEED 300 Solution also will serve as the network's backbone.
The SYSTIMAX GigaSPEED X10D Solution has been specifically engineered with enhanced cable and connector performance designed to support emerging 10-Gbit
Ethernet requirements. The GigaSPEED X10D Solution is designed to provide a next generation total solution that supports both the bandwidth needs of today's enterprises and the needs of more demanding applications such as high resolution video, grid computing, data centers and Storage Area Network/Network Attached Storage (SAN/NAS).
Applications designed to run over Calamos' completed network include IP video security cameras, data networking, VoIP and video conferencing. Calamos' new six-story global headquarters features a trading floor. Construction of the 150,000-square-foot headquarters began in November 2003. Calamos expects to relocate to the new building during the summer of 2005.
