Panduit's Synergist 10-Gig UTP system already in deployment

Feb. 3, 2005
Feb. 3, 2005 - The recently announced Augmented Cat 6 system supports a Fortune 25 company's data-center operations.

The recently introduced Panduit (www.panduit.com) Synergist 10Gig unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) copper cabling system is already in deployment at what the company describes as a technology-driven Fortune 25 organization. "Initial response to the launch of this revolutionary new system has been exceptional," says Andrew Caveney, vice president of business development for Panduit. He adds that the Fortune 25 organization adopted the Synergist 10Gig system "after extensive research and competitive analysis, for large-scale data-center deployments." He adds that the system was chosen based on its performance, high port density, 25-year 10-Gigabit warranty, and worldwide customer support.

Each component in Panduit's Synergist system features complementary design technologies that work together to achieve optimum and balanced performance. Panduit says the modular and scalable system provides a cost-effective infrastructure for high-bandwidth data-center, workstation, and Web-enabling applications of today and tomorrow.

The system provides certified performance in a four-connector channel up to 100 meters, and exceeds the requirements of the 10 Gigabit Draft 1.0 amendment to IEEE Standard 802.3an, which is dated October 2004. The components work together to suppress alien near-end crosstalk while providing ClassE/Category 6 augmented electrical performance beyond 500 MHz. The Synergist 10Gig UTP Copper Cabling System includes TX6 10Gig jack modules, TX6 10Gig UTP copper cable, TX6 10Gig patch cords, DP6 10Gig patch panels, and the GP6 Plus Punchdown System.
