Tyco offering fiber-optic cable under AMP Netconnect brand name

August 19, 2002--The products will be sold as part of fiber-optic system solutions and as standalone components.
Tyco Electronics' AMP Netconnect (www.ampnetconnect.com) now offers fiber-optic cable under the AMP Netconnect brand name.
"Tyco Electronics has been making fiber cable globally for many years," the company said in a release announcing the cable's availability. "These Tyco Electronics private network cables are now available in North America to support AMP Netconnect end-to-end cabling solutions."
The AMP Netconnect fiber-optic cable is backed by a 25-year warranty. It is being offered as part of a fiber-optic system, and also as a standalone component. It is available through authorized AMP Netconnect distributors.
