OnQ Technologies introduces AnyPort DirectConnect System

Nov. 19, 2002 - Solution is designed to simplify cable terminations.

OnQ Technologies, Inc. is introducing its new AnyPort DirectConnect System, designed to simplify cable terminations.

The system is designed for increased reliability, with fewer interfaces. The complete insert assembly is terminated directly on the cable and the terminated cable snaps into any AnyPort outlet.

"The AnyPort DirectConnect System is OnQ Technologies' answer to requests by installers for an easier, higher performance termination," says Larry Hall, director of product development for OnQ Technologies. "The DirectConnect system will save installer's time and money with fewer call backs, faster installations, and fewer failures."

The AnyPort DirectConnect Inserts are designed to provide for a high performance fitting and simple terminations, improving the installation of outlet reliability by decreasing the number of electrical interfaces. The system is designed to provide for shorter overall termination length, making installing the system in the wall or an outlet box easier with greater bend radius for long-term performance.

The system includes AnyPort DirectConnect Inserts, DirectConnect "F" Plugs, DirectConnect RCA Plugs, and DirectConnect BNC Plugs. The AnyPort DirectConnect "F" Plugs are a connecter for RG6 quad-shield cable. The uniform crimp style is used in many CATV head-end installations. The DirectConnect "F" Plugs are designed for use with the AnyPort DirectConnect Crimp Tool.

The AnyPort DirectConnect BNC Plug is used for connection to RG6 quad-shield cable. The uniform crimp is designed to assure high-performance terminations. The BNC Plug is also designed for use with the AnyPort DirectConnect Crimp Tool.
