Siemon Company unveils new jack

Sept. 6, 2002
Sept. 9, 2002 - RJ45-style PCB Jack is designed for industrial environments.

The Siemon Company is announcing the availability of its Industrial RJ45-style PCB Jack.

The jack is the newest addition to the company's line of industrial products.

The industrial PCB jack features a patent-pending bayonet-style mating and outer housing that protects connections from dust, moisture, vibration, temperature extremes and chemicals. With a quarter-turn of the coupling nut, the plug and outlet jack become fully engaged and sealed against liquids and other environmental contaminants.

The printed circuit board mounted outlet allows the jack to be used in a vast array of I/O devices and active equipment such as controllers, PCs, wireless nodes, switches, hubs, industrialized equipment and more. Mounted on a PCB, the high-performance Category 6/5e outlet is designed to provide equipment manufacturers with the RJ45-type connectivity needed to run the ever-demanding applications now found in industrial environments.

The jack is available in Unscreened Twisted Pair (UTP) and Screened Twisted Pair (ScTP) versions.

The Siemon Company, a manufacturer of structured cabling, is based in Watertown, Conn. For more information visit
