June 11, 2002 -- Brooks will replace Art Byrne

Gary Brooks has been promoted president and CEO of the Wiremold Company, replacing Art Byrne who will retire August 1.

Brooks has been president of the Brooks Electronics subsidiary of the Wiremold Company since 1981, a business that he co-founded in 1974 and sold to Wiremold in 1988.

"Over its 102-year history, Wiremold has only had four other CEOs. Each one has taken the company to new highs and I'm confident that Gary will continue this tradition," says Byrne. "He has demonstrated his strong leadership skills as president of Brooks Electronics and is one of the key thought leaders in Wiremold's lean management system."

Wiremold also announced that Scott Bartosch, its vice president of sales, and Orest Fiume, its vice president of finance and chief financial officer, will retire August 1.
Ed Miller who has been vice president of marketing since he joined Wiremold in 1993 will assume the dual role of vice president sales and marketing. Miller held various marketing management and engineering management positions during his years with the General Electric Company's Industrial Systems and Wiring Devices businesses and at General Signal-Edwards Company.

Doug Bielefeld, who has been treasurer, will succeed Fiume as vice president finance & CFO. Bielefeld joined Wiremold in 1996 from Coopers & Lybrand where he had been an audit manager.
