The Hartford Financial Services Group recently announced two Web sites with resources that may benefit owners of telecom-cabling installation companies. One site, www.mb.thehartford.com includes tools and resources for business-insurance decision makers at midsize companies-those with 21 to 499 employees.
"Every aspect of this site has been designed with the end user in mind," says Robert Jones, communications and media program manager at The Hartford. "We believe insurance buyers will find it refreshingly different from the typical insurance Web site."
The site includes customized coverage analyzers, guidelines for evaluating an insurance proposal, and a jargon translator for common insurance terms.
The other site, www.mb.thehartford.com/view_industry/industry_telecomm.asp, includes recommended coverages for telecommunications businesses, as well as risk-management tips.
The site indicates that the company offers coverage for equipment breakdowns, loss of income due to equipment breakdowns, functional equipment replacements, mobile equipment, employee theft and dishonesty, and other events.
"The Hartford has invested significant resources into making this site one of the most useful in the industry," Jones says.
