Dec. 13, 2002 - Model 45-342 is designed for high value, low cost.

IDEAL INDUSTRIES, Inc. has unveiled its Model 45-342, an inexpensive, long-life plastic polishing fixture designed for use with ST, SC and FC connectors with 2.5mm ferrules.

To compliment this introduction, the company is also offering a new line of aluminum oxide polishing films.

The Model 45-342 is designed to offer high value at low cost. For example, to assure the ferrule is kept perpendicular to the polishing surface, the center hole diameter was precision manufactured to extremely high tolerance. The IDEAL fixture has a unique grooved face designed to enhance polishing efficiency and optimal connector performance.

IDEAL polishing films are designed to offer lot-to-lot consistency resulting in repeatable connector finishes on ceramic, stainless steel, plastic and composite ferrules. A single sheet typically yields a range of 10 to 20 connectors when used in the recommended three-step process of 0.5um, 3um and 12um films. These aluminum oxide films are available in quantity of 20 films per sleeve in convenient 3y x 6y sizes.

IDEAL INDUSTRIES, Inc. is based in Sycamore, Il. For more information visit www.idealindustries.com.
