Installers will have the chance to learn about the state of the optical fiber industry by attending the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference this fall.
The conference will take place at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, Sept. 15 through 19.
NFOEC 2002 will give attendees the chance to share information, experiences and learn about cutting edge developments, as well as extensive networking opportunities within the industry.
The conference will focus on today's competitive job market, and the types of continuing education and training industry players need to keep up with the changing technologies. The conference will feature half-day and full-day courses taught by industry leaders.
Conference attendees will be able to listen to major optical fiber telecommunications leaders discuss the challenges facing today's and tomorrow's industry. Speakers will include Sean Maloney, executive vice president of Intel Communications Group; Tim Sullivan, president of optical networking for Lucent Technologies and Frederick Chang, president of SBC Technology Resources, Inc.
