ICC releases ST and SC fiber-optic connectors

April 22, 2002--The connectivity manufacturer says the new products complete its optical-fiber line of offerings.

ICC (www.icc.com) has announced the availability of SC and ST optical-fiber connectors to complete its line of optical-fiber products.

The connectors are designed for high repeatability, and are compatible with standard SC and ST products. They feature tightly toleranced pre-radiused ferrules.

The SC connectors are offered in 62.5 /125 duplex and simplex multimode versions, while the ST connectors come in simplex version only. The connectors are suitable for multimedia applications such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, ATM networks, SONET networks, CATV distribution networks, Fibre Channels and distribution frames.

ICC, based in Cerritos, CA, provides SC and ST adapter families to support coupling and interconnection.
