Mechanical/electrical engineering firm launches technology division

April 2, 2002--NYC-based Lilker Associates has formed a wholly owned division called Technology Systems Group.

Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers, a New York City-based mechanical and electrical engineering firm, recently announced the establishment of Technology Solutions Group (TSG), a wholly owned division specializing in the design, engineering, and project-management of information-technology cabling infrastructure, audio/visual systems, and security systems.

Morais C. Miranda, RCDD, is director of TSG. He has more than 10 years' experience directing technology-infrastructure projects for new construction and renovation projects. He earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.

"TSG was established to meet the increasing demands of the marketplace for technology infrastructure services," Miranda said. "We believe the synergy created from the combination of traditional MEP services and TSG's technology infrastructure expertise provides clients with an enhanced level of professional services as well."

"Our clients ... expressed a desire for us to handle their technology infrastructure requirements," said Bruce Lilker, president of Lilker Associates. "It made perfect sense to add this critical service to our firm's core business."
