Sandata Technologies develops campus WAN for school district

Feb. 21, 2002
February 21, 2002--The wireless system is a more cost-effective solution than running fiber, according to its owner.

Sandata Technologies (www.sandata.com) will design and install a campus wide area network (WAN) for the Sachem Central School District in Port Washington, NY.

The WAN will be used to deliver high-speed voice, data and video over the entire Sachem School District infrastructure.

"The Sachem School District sought a solution which would provide reliable high-speed communications services throughout the entire district without having to incur the high costs of running fiber," says Sandata General Manager Craig Lynn. "When completed, our application of wireless technology will give Sachem the ability to deliver three distinct services - voice, data and video - over a very reliable and fast network."

The $1million project is scheduled to be completed in April.

Sandata Technologies provides advanced information technology solutions and services to the corporate, industrial and institutional markets.
