Twelve companies have joined the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) and eight additional Wi-Fi certifications for wireless LAN product interoperability have been awarded.

The Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) (www.wirelessethernet.org)announced that twelve additional companies have joined its membership roster: Acrowave Systems Co., Ltd., Ambit Microsystems, Billionton Systems, Inc., CC&C Technologies, Inc., Delta Networks, Inc., D-Link Systems, Kingston Technology Company, NEC Corporation, Nortel Networks Corporation, NTT-ME Corporation, SMC Networks, and Texas Instruments.

WECA also announced that it has awarded eight additional Wi-Fi (www.wi-fi.org) certifications for wireless LAN product interoperability. New products granted certification include: Eumitcom Technology Inc. PC Card Model No. WL11000-1 PCI Card Model No. WL11000P Melco, Inc.
