Intermedia Communications Advanced Building Networks (Tampa, FL; www.intermedia.com) says it plans to deploy a new architecture that will leverage a broadband IP access network to deliver voice, Internet access, and hosted applications to customers in multi-tenant office buildings.

Instead of using separated platforms and equipment, a converged network will be configured using packet switching technology. It's designed to replace traditional circuit-switched voice services.
