Ideal's LANTEK testers receive accuracy verification from ETL

March 20, 2003
March 20, 2003--The manufacturer may now put the ETL mark for Level III performance on all its LANTEK 6 and LANTEK 7 models.

Ideal Industries (www.idealindustries.com) recently announced that its LANTEK 6 and LANTEK 7 cable testers have received independent verification from ETL Semko of meeting the accuracy limits contained within the TIA/EIA-568B.2-1 Category 6 Level III and ISO-11801 Level III specifications.

Robert Lane, president and CEO of Ideal Industries, says the verification, "moves towards providing higher levels of network accuracy, performance and end-user satisfaction."

In performing the verification process, ETL conducted a series of analysis trials on randomly selected instruments from the LANTEK production line. To ensure that Ideal continues to meet quality standards, ETL will carry out additional checks of LANTEK testers at regular intervals.

Ideal is now authorized to apply the ETL mark for Level III performance on all LANTEK 6 and LANTEK 7 models.
