electronicAmericas, an international trade show for cable components, assemblies, electronics production and laser technology, will take place this May in Brazil.
The conference will be held May 19-23 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the Imigrantes Exhibition Center.
More than 17,000 visitors are expected to attend the second electronicAmericas, which is co-sponsored by Munich Trade Fairs International. More than 500 exhibitors will display the latest in electronic components and subsystems as well as equipment and machines for electronics manufacturing.

Almost 50 percent of Brazilian production takes place in Sao Paulo, making it the economic center. With a gross domestic product (GDP) of $600 billion, Brazil has one of the top 10 economies in the world. In 2001, Brazil's total exports were estimated at $58.7 billion dollars, up 6 percent from the previous year.
electronicAmericas is geared toward experts form the fields of information technology, communications technology, medical technology, precision engineering, electrical technology and electronics, mechanical engineering and plant construction, vehicle construction, aviation and space technology, quality control and consumer electronics.
