Nov. 25, 2003 - Devices are designed for the premise market.

Optical Design Manufacturing, Inc. has announced the release of a series of handheld optical fiber test probes for the premise or telecom market.

The TP 200 series pocket-sized transmit probes provide stable LED or laser signals which, when used in conjunction with the companion receive probes (RP 400 series), provide continuity, loss or fiber identification measurements. Fiber identification is made easy via the 2-kHz tone transmit and receive functions that are built into these pocket-sized test probes.

The TP 200 and RP 400 test probes were designed for simplicity and cost effectiveness. Multiple connector options are available. Measurements provided are directly traceable to NIST.

Optical Design Manufacturing, based in Laconia, NH, manufactures optical fiber testing equipment. For more information visit www.odm-inc.com.
