Fiber Optic Network Solutions hires Rick Arsenault to management team

Nov. 5, 2003 - Arsenault will direct all business development initiatives for the company.

Fiber Optic Network Solutions Corp. has announced the addition of Rick Arsenault to it's executive management team.

Arsenault joins the company as vice president of business development and brings more than a decade of executive sales and business development experience in the optical fiber industry.

Arsenault formerly worked at World Wide Packets where he was vice president of sales for the East Region in North America. He was responsible for the market and sales development of next generation first-mile technology and optical fiber broadband access solutions for residential and business applications.

"With his breadth of experience and keen leadership capabilities, Rick possesses the essential skills to lead the company's business development initiatives focused on advancing FONS' position within the emerging access markets, most specifically Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)."

At FONS, Arsenault will direct all business development initiatives for the company and will assume responsibility for all facets of strategic and business plan development and implementation. This includes budgeting, sales activity and pipeline management, forecasting, product marketing, customer and vendor relationship management and contract negotiation.

Prior to World Wide Packets, Arsenault held numerous executive sales management positions for companies within the optical fiber industry including SBC DataComm, Ameritech Data Networking Solutions and Anixter Networking. He earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Rhode Island and has a Network Technologies Specialist Certification. Arsenault is also a member of the Multimedia Telecommunications Association (MMTA).
