Sept. 19, 2003
Sept. 19, 2003 - Customers can hand in used testers for a rebate towards a LANTEK 6 or 7 cable certifier.

IDEAL INDUSTRIES, Inc. has announced a trade-up promotion that offers data communications customers a convenient way to trade in their used 5/5e/6 testers for a rebate of up to $1,000 to use towards upgrading to a new IDEAL LANTEK 6 or LANTEK 7 cable certifier.

"By using LANTEK certifiers, datacom technicians can pursue the CAT 6 and CAT 7 installation jobs that their current, less-advanced testers are simply not capable of handling," notes Caroline Chen, product manager, LAN Tester Products, IDEAL INDUSTRIES. "There is no tester on the market with a lower cost-of-ownership than LANTEK 6 and LANTEK 7, especially with this exciting cash-back promotion."

The IDEAL LANTEK Trade-Up program is designed to gives customers a cost-effective, simple and environmentally friendly way to replace old technology. Current users of any CAT 5/5e/6 tester will receive $500 cash back on the purchase of a LANTEK 6 or $1,000 back on the purchase of a LANTEK 7.

To participate, customers need to purchase either an IDEAL LANTEK 6 or a LANTEK 7 LAN cable certifier through an IDEAL distributor. Proof of purchase, an RMA number and the trade-in unit must be sent to IDEAL.
Customers will then receive their cash directly from the factory.

According to Chen, LANTEK sales have continued to be strong on a worldwide basis and have exceeded company forecasts. She anticipates this trend to
continue as the data communications industry strengthens.

"We are excited at the success LANTEK has experienced. Datacom professionals in the United States and abroad now view LANTEK as the state-of-the-art for cable certifiers," says Chen. "Our research indicates that LANTEK is aggressively acquiring market share at the expense of rival1s established products."
