Hitachi Cable Manchester (HCM--www.hcm.hitachi.com) recently announced that Ronald J. Ruggiero has been promoted to president. Since joining HCM in 1988, Ruggiero has led the company through three plant expansions and streamlined productivity to grow revenue by 400%. "With more than 27 years of experience in cable manufacturing and plant management, Ruggiero will successfully lead HCM's production, engineering, sales, and marketing teams using his proven hands-on management approach," the company said in its announcement of his promotion.
"Ron's promotion represents a milestone in HCM's history as he is the first non-Japanese president of a Hitachi Cable Ltd. overseas subisidary," explains Brian Griggs, HCM's senior vice president. "Obviously, this is a testimony to Ron's strength as a leader and his commitment to success here at HCM. We look forward to realizing continued growth under Ron's direction."
