ACS Industries facility suffers fire loss

June 27, 2003--Business and manufacturing operations of cabling vendors Adirondack Wire & Cable and US Fiber Optics unaffected by the blaze.

The Woonsocket, RI facility of ACS Industries, of which cabling producers Adirondack Wire & Cable and US Fiber Optics are divisions, was consumed by fire on Thursday evening, June 26. Neither business nor manufacturing operations for Adirondack or US Fiber Optics were affected by the fire. The companies' phone lines are operational and all business activities were carrying out as usual on Friday, June 27.

All ACS employees escaped the fire without injury, the Providence Journal reported. That newspaper has full coverage of the fire on its Web site, www.projo.com.
