McCormick adds versatility to software offerings

October 2, 2003--The estimating tools available from this developer now provide more features and integrate with handheld computers.

Estimating systems that fit in your hand, CAD estimating that's integral to system operation, and an updated version that has been well-received by long-time customers are al new from McCormick Systems, the estimating-software developer reports.

McCormick, (www.mccormicksys.com) a provider of estimating software for both the electrical and voice/data/video markets, offers a remote takeoff system that loads onto a handheld computer. The package now works with both the Palm and Pocket PC operating systems.

Additionally, McCormick's CAD Estimating interface is now compatible with AutoCAD 2004. A new feature allows counting of only a building's section (or just part of a floor), providing job-costing assistance.

Finally, McCormick also has released Version 7.1 of its Windows software. A regular update, it allows easy editing to correct errors and accommodate last-minute specification changes, thereby saving time.
