Edge Marketing adds manufacturer inventory to Immediate Stock program

July 17, 2003 - Online warehouse includes Belden Electronics Division.

Edge Marketing & Procurement is adding manufacturer inventory to its Immediate Stock online virtual warehouse.

In addition to the stock of its member distributors, Edge distributors will now have access to the available inventory of the organization's preferred suppliers, which include manufacturers such as Belden Electronics Division and Signamax Connectivity Systems.

The Edge Immediate Stock program allows members to purchase or request for quote products electronically from the inventories of preferred suppliers and other members for immediate delivery. This is designed to provide improved business and customer service with access to hard-to-find and discontinued items, and eliminates the problems or lost business stemming from long lead times and less-than-minimum requirement orders.

"From a vendor standpoint, Immediate Stock saves what would otherwise be a call to our customer service group by giving the distributor instant access to our available product," says Tim Fast, Belden's regional sales manager.

Ron Meyers, co-founder of Edge Marketing & Procurement, says adding preferred supplier inventory to Immediate Stock is a natural step in the program's evolution.

Edge Marketing & Procurement is based in Houston, Texas. For more information visit
