Berk-Tek appoints director of new business development

May 20, 2003 - Phil Radics will identify, develop strategic sales plans.

Berk-Tek A Nexans Company has promoted Phil Radics, RCDD to director of new business development.

In his new role, Radics will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic sales and marketing plans for the telecom and OEM market segments and for Berk-Tek's optical fiber products.

Radics has held various sales and marketing roles with Berk-Tek, most recently as strategic market manager-telecom-OEM. Prior to that, he worked for JDS Uniphase and IBM. He has a bachelor's degree from California State University Fresno, and is a Distinguished Military Graduate from the United States Army telecommunications School.

"Phil has made significant contributions to our sales and marketing strategies, including the inception of the OASIS and contractor programs," says Paul Trunk, Sr., vice president of sales and marketing for Berk-Tek. "He also developed critical business relationships with strategic customers and I am confident that we will continue to benefit from his expertise in his new role."
