Evolving Systems Inc. (www.evolving.com) has been awarded a five-year contract to maintain and support the Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) network infrastructure technology that Lucent Technologies (www.lucent.com) provides to mobile operators. Lucent's CDPD product was developed by Evolving Systems for Lucent in 1992.
