HellermannTyton announces alliances with three cabling manufacturers

August 1, 2001 HellermannTyton (www.hellermann.tyton.com) announced alliances with three cabling manufacturers who are components of the company's GigaBand Category 6 structured cabling system performance warranty. The alliances are with cable manufacturers Superior Essex, Mohawk/CDT, and Helix/Hi-Temp (Draka). Category 6 cables from all three companies were tested and verified by Intertek Testing Services (ETL) with HellermannTyton's structured cabling system. Together, the GigaBand system and the three cables met specifications for the proposed Category 6 standard.

HellermannTyton offers a 25-year structured cabling system warranty that covers the performance of the telecommunications system. Certified HellermannTyton installers must use GigaBand Category 6 connectivity products along with Category 6 cables from Superior Essex, Mohawk/CDT, or Helix/Hi-Temp (Draka) to warranty an installation.
