North Safety appoints executives

August 15, 2001 North Safety Products (www.northsafety.com) has appointed Charles Ellis president and John Kime senior vice president of sales. Ellis was previously president of Thomas & Betts's Lighting and Utility divisions, having worked for that division since 1996 and serving as its president since 1998.

Kime worked for Akron Safety from 1989 until its acquisition by North last year. Prior to working for Akron, he was president of Saf-T-Gear Inc.

North Safety Products manufactures occupational health and safety products.
