VersaCom completes acquisition of Wolf Communications

November 29, 2001 The Florida-based installation firm expands into the Northeast with the purchase of the Maine company.

VersaCom International (www.versacominc.com) recently completed the purchase of Wolf Communications, a company that designs and installs voice and data communications networks. Wolf is based in Westbrook ME. VersaCom said it expects the acquisition to produce approximately $2 million in revenue in each of the next three years.

Wolf Communications serves clients in all six New England states. "Wolf has a strong and loyal customer base, and our completion of this acquisition further strengthens our capabilities in the Northeastern United States," said Fred Schwartz, president of Boca Raton-FL-based VersaCom. "There are also strong business synergies with the previously announced acquisition of Northeast Technologies, also located in Westrbrook, Maine," Schwartz said.

Todd Wolf, president of Wolf Communications, has accepted the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of VersaCom. The company said he also will assist the acquisition team in identifying potential companies to acquire.
