November 15, 2001 Camarillo, CA operation takes over sales, marketing, and customer-service roles for both companies.
Along with the recent formation of Tempo (www.tempo.textron.com), the Textron-acquired fiber-optic test-equipment companies RIFOCS Corp. and Opto-Electronics Inc. have now changed their names to Tempo-Camarillo and Tempo-Oakville, respectively.
The RIFOCS and Opto-Electronics brand names of fiber-optic test equipment and components will become unified under the Tempo label with new packaging and products, more notably as new products are released.
Tempo-Camarillo also has taken over the sales, product marketing, and customer service roles for the two companies. Sister companies Tempo-Mesa and Tempo-Vista will soon begin selling field-portable fiberTOOLS instrumentation to their respective data-communications and telecommunications customers.
