Slayton Solutions brings fiber-optic training to you

September 6, 2001 A new one-day seminar on fiber optics from Chicago-based Slayton Solutions (www.slaytonsolutions.com) takes an interesting approach to pricing. Customers pay a set fee, plus travel expenses, for an instructor to provide hands-on training for up to eight students at the customer's location.

The course teaches students to specify, terminate, test, and splice fiber. Each student constructs and tests a functional fiber link and takes a written test that emphasizes fiber-optic safety and performance testing standards.
