June 27, 2001 Ortronics (www.ortronics.com) recently promoted Mike Hines to the position of vice president, fiber optic products and systems. Hines joined Ortronics in June 1999 as director of fiber optics. Before joining the company, Hines worked as a fiber-optic product manager for Hitachi Cable Manchester and previously held international sales engineering positions with SpecTran Speciality Optics Company and Ensign-Bickford Optics Company.
