July 16, 2001 Colonial Electric Supply's (www.colonialelectric.com) Datacom Group, a data-communications and electrical distributor serving Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, recently hired Walt Pietschmann. Pietschmann, a 13-year professional in the outside-plant data-communications market, will work out of Colonial's King of Prussia, PA headquarters as a sales and design consultant.
"Many of our existing customers are keenly aware of the potential for a greater share of the datacom business if they go after outside-plant work," said Mike Lynch, Colonial's Datacom Group manager. "Now we've got an expert on the subject to show them the specifics of how to handle and work those types of jobs properly and profitably."
