April 10, 2001 FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc. (www.ftgx.com) together with New Jersey government officials unveiled FiberNet's primary Network Operations Center (NOC) in Newark, NJ.

The NOC, which monitors FiberNet's nationwide network, proactively responds to customer service incidents, ensuring the highest protection and continuous flow of customer data. Scaleable for future network growth and technology development, FiberNet's NOC will monitor existing network facilities in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

FiberNet received a significant grant from the New Jersey Business Employment Incentive Program, a factor in the company's decision to establish the Center in New Jersey.

Within the last year, FiberNet has successfully entered into over 65 long-term agreements with carriers for utilization of its Metropolitan Transport Networks (MTNs), FiberNet In-building Networks (FINs), and carrier hotel facilities.

FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc. designs, builds, and operates 100% fiber optic transmission networks in major cities. The company's Metropolitan Transport Networks (MTNs) link carrier hotels and multi-tenant office buildings. FiberNet enters into license agreements with nationwide property owners to design, build, and operate FiberNet In-building Networks (FINs) within Class A commercial properties.
