Superior Essex expands Dri-Lite gel-free, loose tube cable series

April 27, 2011
New Dri-Lite cable options are specially engineered with super absorbent yarns that swell on contact with water and block water ingress.

Superior Essex has expanded its Dri-Lite loose tube cable line to include four all-dry cable designs, which the company says have been specially engineered with super absorbent yarns that swell on contact with water and block water ingress.

The Dri-Lite loose tube product line is available in fiber counts ranging from 12 to 288 in armored and all-dielectric cable configurations.

The new designs include:

• Dri-Lite Loose Tube Double Jacket Non-Armor Series 1GD

• Dri-Lite Loose Tube Double Jacket Single Armor Series 1AD

• Dri-Lite Loose Tube Double Jacket Double Armor Series 1DD

• Dri-Lite Loose Tube Triple Jacket Double Armor Series 1CD

The new products complement the gel-free Outside (OSP) plant cables introduced by the company earlier in the year. Superior Essex continues to offer its gel-filled loose tubes cables, which contain PFM gel. Additional details on the Dri-Lite product line are available at SuperiorEssex.com/Comm/Dri-Lite.
