March 13, 2008 -- PCT International, Inc. has introduced its "improved and re-branded line" of MOCSY [Multimedia Over Cables Systems] coaxial cable, designed for last mile drop applications.
The 75 Ohm coaxial cable is available in series 6, 11, 59, and mini-head end versions. Additionally, the MOCSY coaxial cable is available with PCT's Z-Wire dry anti-corrosion technology, eliminating copper oxidation and providing a high level of integrity for sophisticated voice, video and data networks.
"PCT's product offerings and proprietary drop installation products, including our MOCSY7 coaxial cables, establish PCT as the broadband industry leader regarding technology from the tap to the set-top box," contends PCT's executive vice president, Brandon Wilson. "Our patented Z-Wire anti-corrosion cable is a key piece of our bundled, hardened drop solution which not only saves money due to efficiency in logistics, but helps to reduce costly service calls."
In 2007 PCT acquired Andrew Corporation's 75 Ohm coaxial cable division, including that company's manufacturing facility in Yantai, China; the move finalized PCT's completion of product lines necessary for its "Last Mile Drop Solution."
