September 4, 2008--A new line of Panduit PANZONE in-ceiling enclosures features an integrated cable slack manager for improved network reliability. The enclosures are available in active and passive versions to accommodate a full range of equipment with secure and accessible network connections. They can be used as a mini-telecommunications room capable of accommodating network switches and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
These enclosures are constructed from aluminum, designed for increased strength and easier installation. A robust door design with gas-assist cylinders supports a working load rating up to 50 pounds.
A 2-tier mounting bracket accommodates 2U of network equipment up to 17.5 inches, and an additional 3U up to 13.5 inches deep. Airflow has been designed to improve heat dissipation of high wattage equipment, including Power over Ethernet (PoE) enabled network switches and UPS. Additionally, an integral horizontal slack manager keeps patch cords from blocking side ventilation pathways, and standardizes patch cord lengths.
