September 12, 2008 -- Berk-Tek, a Nexans company, announced the selection of JTech Systems as its new manufacturer's rep firm for the U.S. Western Region. Britt Johnson, formerly the Western regional manager of Berk-Tek, is the principle owner of JTech and is responsible for a customer base in Northern California, Reno, NV and Hawaii.

Johnson will represent Berk-Tek's NetClear structured cabling solutions, as well as its copper and fiber optic cable products, and the Legrand products which consist of Ortronics' connectivity and physical support products: the Cablofil mesh wire baskets; the Wiremold raceway; the Homaco rack; and the ON-Q residential cabling products.

Johnson has over 16 years sales experience in structured cabling. Prior to his seven years at Berk-Tek handling the company's Western region, he spent five years at Ortronics, including positions as regional manager and then national sales manager.

"Britt not only brings a wealth of sales experience, but he is also extremely respected for his knowledge of the technical aspects and has given numerous presentations on the latest technology trends," comments Paul Trunk, vice president of sales and marketing for Berk-Tek. "We are fortunate that he is staying in the Berk-Tek and NetClear family, as he will continue to grow our customer base."

Additional sales personnel for the new firm include: Allison Allstott, Chris Rogers and Greg Olson, who were previously with West Cal Technologies.
