June 13, 2008 -- APC recently expanded its Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) switch offerings to include four new switches, including 16-port and 32-port analog and digital models that feature virtual media and support up to eight remote IP users.

According to the company, the switches are designed to reduce time and costs associated with updating an installed server, allowing IT administrators to update servers through the KVM switch, and access multiple KVM switches from a single dashboard through an included network access software.

The digital KVM switches also integrate with APC's switched rack power distribution units (PDU) for seamless power management.
