December 10, 2008--GAO Tek Inc. now offers its handheld visible fault locator (GAO 811) that's designed to find faults in fiber jumpers, patch panels, enclosures, connectors and couplers. The fault location is made visible from a macro bend point, break, problem coupler or connector, or a mechanical splice that is not well aligned.

GAO 811 handheld laser source is able to remedy the limitation of the dead zone of an OTDR and detect fiber fault positions accurately. It is suitable for optical network installation and maintenance.
