July 28, 2008--Several new megapixel models are now available within Vicon's I-ONYX line of IP video surveillance cameras, and are in conjunction with the release of the newest version of ViconNet digital video management software, which will provide support for the company's as well as third-party megapixel cameras.
"This logical extension of our I-ONYX IP camera line will allow users of new ViconNet 5 to make full use of the software's megapixel support," explains Guy Arazi, Vicon's digital products manager.
The IP cameras, featuring 1.3 megapixel resolution and M-JPEG/MPEG-4 compression, are available in bullet, dome, and vandal-proof dome models. Indoor, outdoor, day/night, and IR day/night versions are available. All include a micron megapixel CMOS module, Power over Ethernet, power adapter, and competitive frame-per-second performance. Lenses vary by model.
The cameras will be formally introduced in September at the ASIS International 2008 Exhibition in Atlanta.
